Hi! I’m Philippa Bentuma Arthur

You can call me Ben-tu-ma or just Benty.

I’m a creative strategist working at the intersection of film, music, PR, purpose, and the everyday work of figuring life out. I care deeply about Ghana’s creative industry — not just as entertainment, but as a space for change, business, and community.

I’m most alive where storytelling and strategy meet. My hope is to help creatives and organisations amplify their message and deepen their impact in ways that are meaningful and sustainable.

I previously served as Director of the Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF), where I worked to reposition the festival within the Ghanaian creative community, foster strategic partnerships, and support the growth of both the platform and the people it was built for.

I’m also the founder of Premier 369, a communications agency for the entertainment and culture space. Through Premier, I’m building what I hope will become Ghana’s go-to hub for PR, marketing, strategy, project management, and event coordination for NGOs, filmmakers, musicians, and cultural brands.

Alongside that, I just started a nonprofit called The INSPIRE Collective — created to support Ghanaian and West African creatives, from filmmakers, musicians to DJs, fashion, creative entrepreneurs to visionaries. Our mission is to help them gain profitable skills, build powerful brands, and access real opportunities both locally and globally.

I love writing. I love reflecting. And Benty’s Blog is the space I’ve created to do just that — to think out loud about creativity, identity, leadership, uncertainty, and what it really means to be human in the middle of it all.

This blog isn’t coming from a place of having it all figured out — it’s a place to grow, ask better questions, and share honestly.

My intention is to inspire you, and to evolve with you.
